Giant Defy Serial Number To Find Age
I have a Giant OCR-C road bike which I purchased from the bike shop owner in 2007. I think it is a 2006 model. The serial number is GA6B054 but I can not find any place to look up these bikes on line by serial number. I am selling the bike and someone asked me which make it is. I don't know what to tell them. Note that the way you look up serial numbers on a Zenith watch has changed over the course of the many years that the company has been in business. In some cases, Zenith does not use serial numbers – only caliber numbers and case numbers. Most often you will find the Zenith number on the caseback, on the movement, or inside the caseback. Amtrol encodes the heater's age in the serial number; Example #1: Amtrol Serial Number: A DDDYY B2 where DDDYY = is a Julian Date (written in reverse of the more-common YYDDD) Example#1: A 02501 B2 decodes to day 025 (January 25th) and year 2001. Serial Number Location
The serial number can typically be found in one of three places on a Schwinn made bicycle.
- The headtube
- The rear dropout
- Underneath the bottom bracket shell
Note: The serial number will always be found on the actual frame of the bike. In other words, it will not be found on a bike component (like a handlebar or a pedal).
